FYI--The abstract for the manual vs dinamapp BP study we did is in the
January issue of Journal of Trauma (page 214). We have put together a
power point presentation on it as well as Dr. Davis is presenting it at one
of the trauma meetings this weekend. I will try to send the power point
presentation out to everyone next week via the list serve so you all can
see it in more detail.

We are in the process of finalizing a retrospecific study of manual vs
automated BP's on trauma patients. The preliminary results are pretty
impressive to show that automated is inaccurate (false highs) on most
hypotensive trauma patients. As soon as it is complete I would be glad to
share with everyone.

I am also interested in knowing if there is data somewhere that supports
the
practice of manual BP's. Our Biomed people check for accuracy of our
monitoring equipment for accuracy. It has been our practice to do manual
BP's on patients who present either extremely high or low. Thank you for
your response.
