About the Emergency Space Blanket .

Yes i have used this once in the field (during the winter in canada). This
blanket basically reflects heat from the victim back at them, thereby
helping to keep them warm. Tho i dont think you would ever see it in a
hospital. In house we use Bear Huggers and of course warmed crystaloid
solutions. (Its also a pretty common part of camping first aid kits :)
