        We also use the bair hugger and fluid warmer. Do you have a bair
hugger that is battery operated? The transport time is where the patient is
losing ground with temperature even though our CT and surgery are on the
same level as the CCU. April

RE:Space Blankets
We are a Level I facility and we use the Bear Hugger warmer, warmed 
blankets, and warmed IV fluid. We start the Bear hugger in the Trauma Bay 
and we also have them in the ICU's. Level I has a warming kit that is used 
with a special line that accesses the artery and vein similar to a dialysis 
catheter and you can warm the patient rather quickly this way.
