Robin,
Same here for OR, transfers, ICU. We also try to get our floor patients out
in 2 hours but with bed status what it is, we look at the whole picture. We
fall within the four hour timeframe you mention.
We are an ACS verified Level III facility.

[traumanurses] Time to admission

Please respond to traumanurses
I would appreciate it if you would respond to these few questions about
your
guidelines for getting patients out of the ED resuscitation room to a
bedded
unit or to the OR. This topic was recently discussed on this listserve,
but
I did not save any of those responses and now the issue has been brought up
in our facility, so I apologize for bringing it up again so soon.
The questions I have are this:
1. Your expected time from pt arrival in the ED to time to ICU and OR
(ours is 2 hours)
2. Your expected time from pt arrival in the ED to time to the floor
(ours
is 4 hours)
3. Are you ACS verified. (We are ACS verified)
I would be most grateful if you would take a moment to respond. If there
is
interest, I can tabulate the responses and share with the list.
Thank you
Robynn
