We are currently re-doing our spine policy as well.  If you look on EAST.ORG they have a section on spine clearance that is very helpful.

I also contacted many centers for their policies.

Does anyone have good journal articles regarding c-spine clearance?  The
chief of our Radiology department is asking our ER MD's to start doing
5-view C-spine vs. our 3-view C-spine xrays.  I am looking for articles that
speaks to these differences.  We have had limited if any missed injuries
documented.  Thank you to all for your assistance.
