We have one Full Time RN to do QI analysis - this position oversees the
final aspects of each data record in the registry (looks at ISS scoring/adds
QI issues/looks for data integrity issues/runs reports/identifies
trends/provides QI feedback to various departments, etc).

In addition, we have one FTE that functions as the Trauma Registrar and puts
in all other data elements in the registry, abstracts timelines for peer
review cases, runs reports, assists with preparation for QI meetings and
data downloads to the county, etc. Accuracy is key here and we have a GREAT
registrar !

Hope this is what you were looking for.

For those of you who have a dedicated FTE working on the
QI/PI within your
programs, I have a couple of questions

                1) Is this person an RN or someone with a medical records
background?
                2) Does this FTE also do data entry for the registry
                3) Any other support responsibilities?

Thanks in advance for your answers
