We round in the morning starting at 7am in the ICU. We begin with a
"sit down" round. Each nurse fills out an overhead sheet and it is
projected onto a screen with patient info, labs, cultures, etc. Present at
the rounds are the trauma surgeons, day and night nurses, respiratory, pharmacy,
case management, myself (I do direct data input to the registry on a laptop at
rounds), a coder for billing, and the charge nurse for the unit is also
there.
At 9am we round on the floor with the surgeon, nurse, case manager,
physical therapist, coder, and myself.
The floor rounds are less formal and are followed by walk around
rounds.

How/when do you do trauma
rounds? What type of form is used for
collecting/tracking info.
Is anyone
willing to share trauma rounds info/paperwork?
Thanks,
