question. Has ANYONE ever heard a law/rule that patients can request to goto
ANY facility they choose EVEN if that facility is on diversion. Here in
Arizona (specifically phoenix/ the valley) Paramedics as well as BLS rigs
often bring in patients to our facility when we are on diversion due to
'patient request' and i am told there is nothing we can do about it. I have
read all of the AZ AEMS guidelines and there isnt anything in there that
states that a patient can request a facility on diversion. any
ideas/responses?
