We have "zone phones". They only work in the hospital. Nurses
do not talk about patients on it, it is more for communication about bed
availability, or I can call the charge nurse directly when I am in the resus
room and tell them we need a bed for a patient, many use that number to the zone
phone as opposed to a desk phone for receiving outside calls.

Does anyone have nurses carry cordless phones in their hospital? If
you do, is their a policy regarding confidentiality or does their use fall under
the general confidentiality guidelines.
Thanks
