We are currently using ACNPs to assist with the overall trauma care. We
have a critical care fellowship so most of the work does not involve the
ICU. Other services (ie: cardiology) are beginning to use ACNPs for
varioius patient populations. We have our own ACNP program.

Is anyone using Nurse Practitioners in the ICU to help supplement
trauma care
because of the 80 hour work week for the residents? If so, what are
they
able to bill for? Also, does anyone have a job description for a Nurse
Practioner that they are willing to share?
