I would like to speak with the trauma NP's regarding job description and billing. I presently work with trauma and will soon begin billing. We are in the process of approval for 7 more NP's to staff the SICU and floor patient areas. I have several ACNP students that would be interested in any info that may be thrown my way, (billing, scheduling, on-call rotation etc..). E-mail me directly if needed. rkbrown@surgery.umsmed.edu

Is anyone using Nurse Practitioners in the ICU to help supplement trauma care because of the 80 hour work week for the residents?  If so, what are they able to bill for?  Also, does anyone have a job description for a Nurse Practioner that they are willing to share?
