Washington State requires transfer agreements to be in place for sending and
receiving designated trauma facilities.
We do not expect specific injuries to be mentioned in the agreement, since
capabilities can easily change over the contract period of time.

Subject: [traumanurses] transfer agreements
I am inquiring about requirements concerning hospital transfer agreements.
Deaconess Hospital is seeking ACS Level II verification at this time. Do
transfer agreements need to be specific to traumatic injuries that will be
transferred to that facility or can it be a generic trauma patient
agreement? Your response to this matter would be appreciated. Thank you.
