Thread-topic: [traumanurses] Trauma Pagers

Hi!

We are a Level I Trauma Center.  We do a daily pager check in the morning.  The Trauma Attending, Resident and Anesthesiologist are all required to return the call.  If other departments do not see the check on their pagers, they call into the operator for an individual check.  Hope that helps!

At the moment we test our trauma pagers once a week with a return call to the operator.

There is no delay for team members responding to trauma alerts.

Would like to know how other Level I and II programs check their paging system - daily, weekly and how you validate the test page.

Thank you

Kerry
