We test our primary activation system ( computer email) with alpha - numeric pagers & our secondary activation system ( telephone ) on a monthly basis. We keep an extensive documentation log for both systems.

At the moment we test our trauma pagers once a week with a return call to the operator.
There is no delay for team members responding to trauma alerts.
Would like to know how other Level I and II programs check their paging system - daily, weekly and how you validate the test page.
Thank you
Kerry
