We do daily test pages at a set time 0900, with the team members calling the switchboard operator. If the operator does not hear back within 15 min she repages if still no response she let's me know so I can follow up on the issue.  All of this is documented on the the call back form and on the computer system form that show the page was sent.

At the moment we test our trauma pagers once a week with a return call to the operator.

There is no delay for team members responding to trauma alerts.

Would like to know how other Level I and II programs check their paging system - daily, weekly and how you validate the test page.
