Brian,
there are many different "possible" approaches. The gathering of
information is multi-factorial and we have developed a system of involving
many different "ears" for the PI process. We are in the process of changing
from a retrospective chart abstraction process to a concurrent system, I
would be happy to have a phone conversation to discuss all the details with
you, if you wish.
Feel free to call me
Robynn

Subject: [traumanurses] Abstracting for Registry
How is everyone completing the abstracts for entry into the trauma registry?
We are trying to determine how best to approach this. I am thinking it best
to either complete them myself, that way I have immediate access to PI
issues. I have also had some suggestions to look into the utilization of
case managers for this also.
What thoughts do you all have? We are a new program.
Thanks,
