Does anyone have a policy on digital pictures?  We currently take digital pictures on all burns and any multiple penetrating injuries and sometimes interesting cases.  These are routinely added to the medical record.  In the past, Polaroids were used and the hard copy was the only accessible print.  However, with digital pictures, the pictures can be saved after copied.  Digital pictures have the ability to be enhanced, unlike the Polaroid.  How long do we legally have to keep the digital pictures on a PC?  Do we have to keep a copy on a PC or are the printed photos all that can be released with a subpoena?  Thanks for your help
