John, I redid ours a year ago. They should be reviewed with each JCAHO - however most of the transfer agreements have some generic - "this is in effect until the death of medicaid / medicare..."

However, ours said something like we were going to send patients needing hyperbarics to our level one and then they crossed out the level one name and used the same agreement for all the other hospitals - well I took the specifics out. The other thing I found was that each program was making transfer agreements - like cardiology made one with Durango, so then neurosurgery was going to do the same thing and then I was going to have to do another one for trauma - so I said "self this is silly". So came up with the generic one - attached.

No standard on time - however ours just were outdated by what was written.

Hi - I'm wondering if there is a standard for how often transfer agreements should be updated?  Best wishes to all for a happy, healthy New Year!!! (I'd share my wife's list of resolutions for me, but I think the file is too big!)  John
