We would like to use a laptop, as well, during rounds and to enter Collector data on the units, but heard from other centers that it was very difficult to download the collector registry info from the laptop. Has anyone been successful at this?

We recently obtained a laptop which is tied in through the hospital network that we are going to use for trauma rounds. I have a few questions for those of you who do the same:
1. Do you keep a hardcopy of the data?
2. Have you been reviewed for designation since you started using the laptop? If so, were you able to retrieve your data without difficulty? Did the reviewers have any comments on the data collection?
3. We use COLLECTOR for our registry data, have you found a way to print out data that looks presentable? I have printed it out through the facsimile mode but it has a disoriented appearance.
Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions!
