President-Elect: Open Position
Call for Nominations
On October 1, Judy Mikhail, RN, MSN, MBA, Hurley Medical Center, Flint,
Michigan assumed the duties of President of the STN following the
resignation of Mary Kate Fitzpatrick.
As a result of this transition, the President-Elect position is open.
The STN Board of Directors has charged the Nominating Committee with the
responsibility of suspending the Nominations Policy deadline secondary to
this special circumstance in an effort to facilitate nominations for this
crucial position.
The successful candidate is obligated and expected to complete the term of
President-Elect for the remainder of 2004 and 2005, the 2-year term as
President, and a 2-year term as Immediate Past President. Interested persons
should be closely involved with the STN as an active member in good standing
for at least 2 years. Proven trauma leadership qualities and experience as
well as impeccable communications skills are essential for this position.
Prior Board experience is an asset.

The deadline for submission of nominations is 4 p.m. (Pacific Time) Tuesday
October 12th 2004.
The STN Executive Committee and STN Nominations Committee have approved this
