Does anyone out there do a postmortem CT of their
TRM pts?
An example would be: A pt who
arrives in full arrest and dies in the ED. The ISS score is practically
null, b/c the pt never made it to CT. No post is done b/c the ME's are
too busy or family refuses.....
What about the patient who arrives w/ a GCS of 14
and then proceeds to code for no apparent reason? (didn't bleed out, no MI
evidence, etc).. this pt coded before CT as well. Our time to CT is usually
w/in 8-10 mins...
thoughts??
